First proper GC shakeout today.
We will find out who isn't in with a chance for sure. I'd like to see Simon Yates keep in touch (even though my team is Yates free this time).

First time I missed the league cos was away, so wont be battling for my customary lower league place!!
Should be a good stage today, Froome seems proper out of sorts this year. Nice to see yates flying the flag though.

Yates looks unstoppable. What is nice to see as that, although he has help from his team obviously, he is attacking and beating the rest of the GC field on his own. A couple more mountain stages left for him to put time into Dumoulin.
Also quite funny to see the traditional Aru explosion (it is a cruel sport). He usually leaves it until later though,

With only a week to go I have discovered there is a Giro highlights show on Quest every evening. Jonathan Edwards, Bernie Eisel and JA Flecha presenting/reporting. It's not in the Gary, Chris and Daniel league but does the job.

Chris Froome has just done a ride for the ages. A solo attack from 80k out to take 3.20 off of everyone else in the race. Extraordinary!
